ELITE ATHLETE SUPPORT PROGRAMME
Every effort is made to support the most talented sports performers via the Elite Athlete Support programme, available to students in the High School who excel in their sport, by providing specialist workshops to enhance their development.
Recent group workshops have focussed on the importance of nutrition and media training and specialist support is given to individuals including access to strength and conditioning training in the excellent Lifestyle Fitness facilities on site.
Students can benefit from 1:1 coaching in their respective sport with a flexible timetable and curriculum provided to help the most talented sports performers manage the intensive demands of their training.
With the generous support of The Mary Edmondson Trust, a highly specialised support programme is in place to help these students excel.
JUNIOR ATHLETE EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The most talented sports performers are supported through the Junior Athlete Education (JAE) programme. A 'Talents' afternoon gives students in years 7 and 8 an opportunity to work with specialist coaches in trampolining, gymnastics, rugby, football, cricket, tennis and athletics.
