The partnership between the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys and The Canterbury Academy is founded on a shared commitment to futher improve teaching and learning and promote increased opportunities for the children of Canterbury and East Kent.

 

Those students whose gifts are academic will belong to the Langton cohort where the grammar school curriculum is studied and teaching focuses on real pace and challenge.  The teaching of these students is quality assured by a senior member of staff from Simon Langton who supports the development of the programme and participates in the leadership of the school.

 

The collaboration between the two schools include:

• Providing Gifted & Talented days where children and staff from the two schools work together 

• Supporting students to gain entry to University
