1 Floodlit Football Pitch

      This track in-field football pitch is available through the winter season, during the summer it       will be used for athletics throw events

 

1 Floodlit Sand Sport Area

The sand sport area is perfect for summer  

activities but why not train through the winter

when the rain stops play on the grass pitches?

Specialists in Junior Tennis Development

In 2009 Appeti were officially recognised by

The Tennis Foundation when they were one of the first centres in the country to be awarded

“Beacon Status”.

 

The aim of the centre is to provide better opportunities for young people to get involved in tennis and develop as players.

 

Specialising in the development of players through the delivery of the following structured tennis development programmes:

Junior Grass Roots Programme

open to all juniors aged 4 - 18.

Group and individual coaching available.

Appeti Tennis provide a comprehensive programme of tennis to the pupils of The Canterbury Academy from Year 7 curriculum coaching to the Sixth Form Academy.

The Appeti Academy offers a full programme of activites to those looking to take their tennis seriously and progress as players.

Now in its 12th year in Canterbury, 123 tennis provides 4 weeks FREE in-school tennis to children of primary age.

CSTI provides FREE in-school tennis coaching to 34 schools in the Canterbury area, ALL participants receive 2 weeks free follow on clubs.

The Appeti Tennis School offers a full time programme of tennis and Education.

Tennis Services UK provide a network of competitions in the UK which Appeti players can participate in throughout the year.

 

TSUK also operate Appeti's annual Easter Junior Tournament.

The national winner of The Education Business Partnership for Innovation in Sport and recognised by The Youth Sports Trust as a national centre of excellence for provision in

Gifted & Talented Sport.

 

The Canterbury Academy has over 100 elite athletes in the

Elite Sports Academies within the Sixth Form.  The academies are a vibrant environment where students can study and develop alongside athletes from a wide range of sports.

 

Working in partnership with a variety of clubs, national governing bodies of sport and other sporting organisations, the Academy provides top class development programmes and access to a professional support team including Steve Green (formerly Tim Henman's S+C coach), and considerable medical support from Mark Dayson, sports therapist and sports masseuse, Sophie Williamson.  Daniel Madigan a Sports Scientist also assists in the monitoring and optimisation of the athletes' training programmes.
