SCHOOL OF ROCK

Join the talented student singers, actors, and musicians of The Canterbury Academy as they perform Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical SCHOOL OF ROCK, one of the first UK school performances of this exciting new show.

Featuring all of the well-known characters from the hit 2004 Paramount film starring Jack Black, and a host of new songs written by Glen Slater (The Wedding Singer, Elf) and Lord Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera, Cats), the story focuses on Dewey Finn – a washed-up musician who unexpectedly finds himself as a supply teacher in a private prep school.

The children of this school, more accustomed to classical music than rock and roll, are carried on a journey to compete with professional rock groups in a ‘battle of the bands’ – eventually transforming their teachers, parents, and themselves.

As in previous years tickets will be available on the door at the Gulbenkian; however it is always a good idea to purchase your seats in advance.

Tickets are £11 each (£6 concessions for children under the age of 18) and can be purchased via the Gulbenkian’s ticket website or by clicking here.
