CHoscars 2017

The CHoscars 2017, celebrating the Visual and Performing Arts at The Canterbury Academy, was a wonderful gala evening on Tuesday 20th June featuring our guest of honour, acclaimed potter and artist Keith Brymer Jones (BBC2’s Great Pottery Throwdown).

Our main hall was filled with nearly 300 guests – nominees, guest, staff and VIPs – and featured performances from our Sixth Form Cascade dance company, Cascade Youth Company, featured dancers from The Canterbury Primary School, our 6th form Music Programme band, and two short films written, starring and produced by our Film and Media students.

A total of twenty-one CHoscar statuettes went to the lucky winners, with all nominated students receiving a certificate of nomination and the opportunity to meet Mr Brymer Jones.
