Miss Patel scores in Kent Cup Final

In addition to playing in the Red Nose Day football match last Friday, our very own Miss Patel played in the Kent Cup Final earlier this week at the Gallagher stadium in Maidstone. Gillingham ladies won 17-0 against Aylesford. Miss Patel not only played at this high level and helped the team win the cup, but she also scored her first goal for Gillingham ladies with a chip over the goal keeper from 25 yards. Mr Watson, perhaps still reeling from the Red Nose Day defeat, said of the goal ‘it looks like a miss-hit cross that went in by accident’. Perhaps a rematch is in order?
