Years 7 and 9 Netball teams continue to impress!
Our year 9 netball team performed brilliantly last Tuesday in the annual district competition. The team got off to a strong start in their first game against St Anselms beating them 6-0. Stronger opposition followed as we then faced Kent College. The team felt nervous playing Kent College but kept calm once in possession of the ball with Paige & Tamara working well in the shooting circle. This proved crucial and the game finished 7-3 to Canterbury High. The girls went onto win against St Edmunds, QES, Archbishops and Abbey School. We drew with Herne Bay High School & unfortunately lost narrowly to Simon Langton.
The final placing of the tournament had to be counted back on goals scored as three schools tied at the top of the league. The girls finished in second place and this is a massive achievement for them considering they finished in 7th position last year. Their commitment and dedication to improve as a team has paid off this winter.
If you teach or see any of the girls around school please praise them on their amazing performance.

Further more, our Year 7 netball team performed brilliantly on Thursday in the annual district competition.
The team got off to a good start in their first game against Archbishops beating them 3-0. The girls went onto beat St Anselms, Abbey, QES, Barton Court and CCW. Unfortunately, we lost to Simon Langton and Kent College.
Throughout the tournament, the girls played with great enthusiasm and energy despite playing back to back games.
The final placings for the tournament saw the girls finish in third place and this is a massive achievement for them considering they have only played three games as a team prior to this competition and lots of changes were made each game.
