Year 13 actors impress at The Marlowe Theatre
Last Thursday, at the Marlowe Theatre, the Year 13 Acting and Production Arts students performed the new play ‘FOMO’ as part of the National Theatre Connections festival.
Their performance was simply outstanding, and the visiting director from the National Theatre praised the students for their professionalism and energy.
Both the actors and the technical crew put months of hard work into this production, and the end result made their teachers, friends and family extremely proud. They were truly amazing ambassadors for the Academy, and our 6th Form Performing Arts provision, as they rehearsed and performed in this national competition.
There are schools from around the UK performing their entries into the festival, and from here we anxiously await the result. The top-performing schools and theatre companies will be chosen to perform their play at the National Theatre later on this year.
Whatever the eventual outcome, please congratulate the students on their success.
