Canterbury Academy U15 Boys - Handball Success
The U15 boys took part in the District Handball tournament held at The Canterbury Academy this week. This team consisted of the year 9 boys who become National Champions last year with a select few year 10 students added to the squad. The students are pictured in the photograph below.
Their first game resulted in a 7-2 win against Barton Court. Into the second game, the boys continued their good form with a 7-3 win against Herne Bay High School who are usually a strong opponent in handball.
The third game was a challenge and the team went 3-0 down early into the game against Sittingbourne Community College. However, the boys settled and fought back to claim a 6-3 victory. A 6-1 win in their final game against Fulston Manor saw the team win the tournament and reach the county finals to be held in term 3.
