Year 8 & 10 football success against Simon Langton


TThe 21st century is seeing many changes to the established order. One - and arguably one of the most signifacntly locally - is how The Canterbury High School is rapidly overtaking Simon Langton (our partner school) in sport. Langton have a proud tradition in sport and were once the regional power in basketball - now that is The Canterbury High School (by a distance). Langton are being caught up in cricket losing to the high school last season.

Now, it appears as if football too is being surrendered to 'the noisy neighbours' !!Year 8 & 10 football success against Simon LangtonTerm 1 football success keeps coming with two excellent victories for the school against Simon Langton this week.The Year 10 team won 4-2 with goals from Jimmy Witt, Callum Bowey, Sean Ikwaugwu and Max Ndah.In an exciting game over at Langton, the Year 8 team went 2-0 up before being pegged back to 2-2.

A last minute winner sealed a fabulous victory though as Canterbury High won 3-2. Callum Bryant, Lewis Saunders and Jeremiah Bamgbose got our goals

.If you do see any of these students around, please congratulate them on two impressive results against a strong football school.
