Week of football off to an amazing start with a comprehensive 5-1 victory for Year 7 Football Team i
School football started well last week with the Year 8 team defeating Ursuline College 10-3 in the Kent Cup. This week we have several home matches and the teams would welcome the support!
The programme is as follows:
Monday - Year 7 v Dane Court in the Kent Cup out on the back field kicking off around 4.15 pm.
Tuesday - Year 10 v QES out on Victoria Rec kicking off around 4.00 pm.
Wednesday - Year 9 girls v Herne Bay High out on Victoria Rec kicking off around 4.00 pm.
Thursday - Year 9 v Archbishops out on Victoria Rec kicking off around 4.00 pm.
If you are thinking of coming out to support, please check with the PE department first in case of last minute changes to fixtures.
UPDATE - The Year 7 football team knocked Dane Court GS out of the Kent Cup tonight. Considering this was the team’s first competitive game, it was a particularly impressive performance. A bright first twenty minutes saw our team go 3-0 up very quickly. Goals from Zac Jennings, Alex Giles and Freddie Fulton were a reward for creative and attacking football. Dane Court pulled a goal back just before half time but a solid second half showing that included two goals on the break from Jennings and Matt Hampton sealed the victory. The team will now play either Abbey or Borden GS in the next round.
