Enterprise and Employability College praised for 'Positive Impact' on pupils lives

The Canterbury Academy's Practical Learning and Enterprise Education Awards took place on Tuesday.

The evening was an excellent opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupils across the wide and varied range of courses we offer here at the academy.

Linda Pickles, A Kent County Council senior improvement adviser, had this to say about the event 'this was an excellent opportunity for me to see the wide range of innovative courses the Enterprise and Employability College offers students, including practical sampling from the Chef School, which was most enjoyable. It was also very interesting to hear about the alternative curriculum provision, through the City and Coastal College, and the positive impact this is having on students who face significant challenges in their lives. The pupils and students who received awards were clearly proud of what they had achieved and the positive affirmation and praise given by your staff in celebrating their success was very moving.'

A massive thank you to the team who organised the event and another congratulations to the pupils on thier fantastic achievements.
