Year 11 Students on Uganda Expedition

On the 2nd of July, Year 11 students Lewis Franks and Sam Rose, will be travelling to Uganda for 4 weeks on a Camps International expedition. Both boys have had to raise in excess of £4000 each to pay for the experience (an incredible achievement!). They have done this through fundraising, applying for grants and sponsorship and the support of their families.

While in Uganda the boys will:

· Work on a range of volunteer projects helping to improve the standard of living for rural communities.

· Be a part of ongoing conservation activities to protect wildlife and the environment.

· Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

· Learn about Rhino conservation and help out at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary

· Have the challenge of climbing the amazing Mount Elgon

This will be a unique and life changing adventure for both boys, an amazing way to celebrate completing their GCSEs, and the perfect platform to take on the challenge of 6th Form. Well done for all you’ve already done and good luck for all you will do.
