Basketball

James Lloyd (Year 13) named in the EABL Conference Team that is selected by coaches of opposition teams. His performances during the season have been of a high standard and have led to this recognition

The Year 8, Year 9 and Year 13 basketball teams from Canterbury High School won the county cup.

Some of our junior basketball academy players along with three staff members spent their Easter weekend competing in an elite European basketball tournament in Paris. Segun Shodunke, Louie Adams, Sam Alajiki and Miyka'el Cato Fournillier teamed up with pupils from two other schools to play against some of the best clubs and academies in Europe. The team was coached by Adam Davies who was joined by physio, Mark Dayson and strength and conditioning coach, Toni Kesisoglou. The team finished in fifth place and won the Fair Play award for their professionalism, attitude and style of play.

Triathlon

Tom Fox (Year 12) and Sarah Hall (Year 12) have been selected to compete in the European Aquathon Championships

Swimming

Jordan Honour (Year 12 and pictured right) and Max Jameson (Year 11 and pictured left) have been competing at the British Swimming Championships in Glasgow where they have been representing Thanet Swim Club. Both have recorded personal bests and have impressed national coaches and selectors.

Cricket

Kai Appleby (Year 13) has been selected to play for Kent Cricket’s 2nd XI in a T20 match against the MCC Young Cricketers on April 18th.

Tom Jones (Year 12) was invited to bowl to the professional squad players over Easter and received some positive feedback. He has also made the Kent Under 17 squad for the summer.

Bradley Goldsack (Year 9) has been selected for the Kent Under 14 squad.

Matiss Siyambalapitiya (Year 7) has been selected for the Eastern Vikings Under 12 squad which is made up of players from Canterbury, Thanet and Dover districts.

Tennis

Ciaran Brewer (Year 9) won the 16U and 14U event at the county level tournament held at Appeti Tennis.

Oliver Richards (Year 9) reached the quarter finals of a national tournament in Nottingham

Toby Froud (Year 7) reached the quarter finals of a regional tournament.
