Students perform at Royal Albert Hall

On Monday 28th March, 49 Canterbury Academy students from years 7, 8, 9 and sixth form performed at The Royal Albert Hall! 23 schools from all over the UK traveled to participate in this event, with an impressive total of 1300 performers.

All funding for the trip was raised by the students; baking cakes for numerous bake sales and participating in sponsored 5K runs. All their hard work certainly paid off as they performed their flawless five minute 'Grease Medley' to an audience of 4000!

The day also consisted of learning two finale numbers and a dress rehearsal in the arena. The students were absolutely superb both on and off stage and it was a wonderful experience for all those involved.

The Canterbury Academy was the only academic school to participate and the students were an absolute credit to the school.
