Youth Sport Trust Leaders report

The following students have been involved in a girls active camp led by the youth sport trust at Loughborough University this weekend. Hannah Woodgate

Abi Pickering. We left the academy at 6:15am Friday morning and arrived back at 8pm Sunday evening. This has been a full on weekend for these girls with workshops relating to confidence and self esteem building along with looking at the barriers that our young girls face when participating in physical activity and how to overcome these. The girls have throughly enjoyed the camp and will now become the leaders of the new scheme to engage more girls in PE and school sport.

The girls have represented the academy fantastically well throughout the weekend, with positive feedback from the YST leaders. If you see the girls please congratulate them as they have been put through their paces, overcoming many challenges and barriers.
