Golf, Football and Basketball Success for The Canterbury Academy Sixth Form

Sixth form sport students have had a memorable week culminating in two excellent team victories for our basketball and football sides yesterday.

At the start of the week, Dan Smith returned from Portugal having won the Southern Match Play Individual Tournament.

Dan is pictured here with his trophy. This is an extremely impressive achievement from Dan.

The Gillingham FC Football Academy XI beat Sandwich Technology School 4-1 in a league game yesterday. The opposition are part of the Chelsea Foundation programme so this was an excellent result.

Finally, the Kent Crusaders Basketball Academy defeated league leaders Barking Abbey 53-51 in a very hard fought game that was decided with a James Lloyd three-pointer in the last seconds.
