Canterbury Festival Lunchtime Concert

On Friday 23rd October Mr Freeman and Mr Greenlaw took a number of our talented musicians and singers to perform in our annual lunchtime concert as part of the Canterbury Festival. The event took place at the fantastic Spiegeltent venue and the unique ambience gave our students a great platform from which to showcase their talents.

The concert opened with a solo from year 9 JPAE singer Amber Foxley before year 12 music programme students Sam Clarke, Charlotte Owen, Lyra Jones and Charlotte Fullbrook performed "All I Have To Do Is Dream" by the Everly Brothers.

The year 13 musical theatre singers then took over with Khalaela Wiltshire, Jack Jenkins, Charlie Steff, Connor Fagg and Amber Akinci all singing excellent solo pieces. The concert was closed with a lively and professional set by the year 13 music group 'Dare' whose stock is rising rapidly on the local music scene.

A massive thank you to all the parents, friends and members of the public who came along to watch our performers, as well as to Mr Palmer, Miss Laherty and Mrs Banbery for their support.
