Students in Bugglebury Pilot Series

The success stories keep flooding in from Performing Arts, this time from our primary students.

Last Thursday, nearly 30 selected gifted and talented KS2 students at CPS took part in an audition for the new animated series Bugglebury, based on the series of books by Sonia Copeland-Bloom, Orlando Bloom’s mother. The students were immaculately behaved, and full of talent and energy – an absolute credit to the Academy and to CPS. Photos of the audition (which was led by professional actor Adam Leese of our CPA Acting Programme) are attached, which also shows off the new Dance/Drama studio at CPS.

We are proud to announce that Year 6 student Sacha Jiles and Year 5 student Katie Wade (photos attached) have both been cast in principle roles in this exciting new project.

The animations have been completed, all that remains is to record and layer in the actors voices. Katie and Sacha will record their parts, along with other professional actors (adults and children) in our recording studio, this Monday from 4pm. Some of our 6th Form CPA Music and Technical Theatre Programme students will also be involved, assisting in the engineering of this recording session.

After the pilot episode is edited, the series will hopefully be picked up for syndication and broadcast not only in the UK, but worldwide.

Best of luck to Sacha, Katie and the rest of the Bugglebury team!
