Hip Hop/Breakdancing Championships in Netherlands
On 24th and 25th January in the Netherlands, Rory O’Shea (Year 9) and Maizy Thieze (Year 7) competed at the Dutch Open IDO (Hip Hop/Breakdancing Championships).
The results were as follows:
Maizy Thieze
Category: Hip Hop Solo (Junior Girls) - 5th Place
Category: Team – 2nd Place
Category: Duo – 11th Place
Rory O’Shea
Category: Electric Boogie – 1st Place!
Category: Hip Hop Solo (Junior Boys) - 1st Place again!
Category: Breaking – 5th Place
There was then a Junior ‘battle’ - improvised dance moves, designed to outdo your opponent until there is only one winner.
Rory and Maizy BOTH came 1st Place in their gender categories, THEN had to battle EACH OTHER for dominance.
Congratulations to both of these students on their staggering successes.
