SENIOR SCHOOL
Students choose a GCSE in Computing in order to gain a thorough understanding of computing theory, solve computing problems and learn how to write their own programs. Exam board OCR. 2 controlled assessments 30% each and a written exam 40%.
Students can also take the ECDL IT application skills. ECDL equips students with the skills to use a computer confidently and effectively, building on existing knowledge and motivating further learning. There are 4 units each with an exam with equal weighting. This course is accredited by BCS.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Students follow our own distinct curriculum becoming effective users of a variety of applications, including programming, presentation, data handling, internet safety, website design using HTML5, computer hardware and software, networks, flash animation, game design and creation, graphics creation and editing using Fireworks and Photoshop.

ICT and Computing is seen as an important subject giving students a chance to learn, understand and use a range of computer software which is relevant to industry, whilst gaining experience in applying these skills and knowledge across the whole curriculum.
Students develop the ability to apply computational thinking to a wide variety of scenarios and become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication tehcnology.
