BUSINESS

The course has been designed to provide an engaging and stimulating introduction to the world of business. It has been developed to encourage the development of knowledge and skills relevant to the business world through the participation in a range of vocational business activities.

 

It gives learners the opportunity to develop a range of personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life as well as encourage learners to develop their people, communication, planning and team working skills.

 

Recent Vocational trips have included talks at Global Radio, Thorpe Park, Heart FM, Coca-Cola.

Public Services

Those who are attracted to the Public Services sector will find it modern and dynamic, committed to providing employees with a great many opportunities to develop and a positive working environment where they can really make a difference.This is a practical course that looks at real life situations and allows students to develop the skills and knowledge required in modern day public services.

 

Students will study topics such as:

 

  •  Leadership and Teamwork in the Uniformed Public Services
  • Physical Preparation and Fitness for the Uniformed Services
  • International Institutions and Human Rights.

 

 

PUBLIC SERVICES

The UK’s Public Service industry is one of the largest employers in the country. It works to develop and implement government policies and helps deliver a huge range of services to the public. A BTEC in Public Services is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success when moving towards a career in the uniformed services. 

 

The topic allows the candidates the opportunity develop communication skills, leadership skills and physical skills, essential skills needed for the uniformed public services.

This unit will enable you to gain knowledge and understanding about travel and tourism as a business and appreciate that travel and tourism organisations operate and have a role to play in a business environment.

 

Unit 3 The UK as a Destination

 

This unit enables you to develop your skills in locating destinations in the United Kingdom and also gain an overview of the UK tourism product and how it attracts and meets the needs of domestic and inbound visitors.

 

We also offer a range of optional units that cover: European designations, long haul destinations, customer service skills, employability skills, and planning holidays and trips.
