Canterbury Touch Rugby representation at Junior Touch Championships 2015

The Junior Touch Rugby European Championships 2015 were held over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August in Nottingham.

At the tournament Canterbury Touch was represented by 6 local players. Danni and Ayla Payten from the Canterbury High School and Matt Davies, Stuart Meredith, Dan Mayall & Rory Howard of Simon Langton Boy’s Grammar School. Erin Payten from Canterbury High was selected for the England squad but had to withdraw due to injury.

The England jersey presentations were held on Friday evening at Nottingham University. The final result of the girls and boys competitions went the way of Wales by very small margins. Danni Payten was presented with the girl’s player’s player award after the tournament.
