Students from The Institute of Performing Arts will work with industry professionals, some will become members of Equity, others will have their own agents and some will end up on stage, screen or TV. The Canterbury Institute of Performing Arts provides the highest quality education and training and acts as a foundation for drama schools and the entertainment industry.
The Canterbury Academy is a specialist school for the performing arts. It achieves excellence.
In the 6th form the Canterbury Institute for the Performing Arts demands professional levels of focus and dedication from its students. Entry to the institute is through audition only. The Institute’s programmes of study and professional development offer progression to university, higher education or opportunities to pursue a career in a chosen discipline.

The unique aspect of the Sixth Form's provision is the flexibility it offers. The timetable allows students to mix different types of courses, different levels of qualifications, improve maths and English and study at a variety of different times.
