Mark is the lead co-ordinator for all medical relate issues including Sports Massage and promotion of Cardiac Screening for young athletes.

 

Director and Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for Dayson Physio and Sports Rehab, Mark is physiotherapist to England U16 National Basketball Team, Kent Crusaders Basketball, England Athletics/Kent Athletics Network Squad and was selected as a physiotherapist for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July 2014.

Steve Green represented the GB Athletics Team on more than 30 occasions and was a member of the Olympic, European and Europa Cup squads over a 10-year period.  Former international sprinter Steve currently heads up the strength and conditioning programmes at The Canterbury Academy.

 

As Tim Henman's Strength and Conditioning Coach, Steve has many years of experience coaching a range of international sports men and women and is highly sought after for both his specialist knowledge and unique style that creates a positive rapport with the individuals and teams he works with.

Daniel is the Elite Academies' Sports Scientist.  This role involves monitoring and optimising training loads and providing athletes with detailed sport-specific performance and understanding.

 

Daniel conducts regular field and lab testing with the academy athletes as well as running a number of workshops across the year.

 

He is currently undertaking a PhD in the Training Optimisation at the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Kent as part of his role at the Academy.

 

Sophie provides sports massage and supplementary sports injury treatment for The Canterbury Academy.

 

All athletes are encouraged to use regular massage to enhance performance and prevent soft tissue injuries.

 

Massage is provided as an important treatment for injuries and injury rehabilitation.
