Working in partnership with Simon Langton Boys to provide a grammar
school band for boys and girls in a comprehensive school for all talents
Welcome to the Sixth Form
The Canterbury High School’s Sixth Form will, as part of The Canterbury Academy, offer ‘as much as possible, as often as possible, for as many as possible’ and be a sixth form for ‘all the talents’.
The Canterbury Academy recognises that to provide a comprehensive range of
programmes then a sixth form has to be large. In September 2014 the Sixth Form
contained over 400 students. In September 2015 we expect there to be over 500
students and then have targeted post-16 as a growth area and aim to reach 750
students within 3 – 5 years.
We will achieve growth because we offer flexibility and because we believe that the Sixth Form exists to meet the needs of its students and not the other way round.
