The Academic College is for students who will study A Level courses. The Canterbury Academy offers a wide choice of Advanced Level courses including the full range of facilitating A levels. Some A levels are delivered at, or by staff from, our partner The Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys.
The Academic College encourages students to work independently within a supportive and engaging environment. Students are encouraged to have high aspirations and plan their career pathways.
We aim to support and guide these students in making successful applications to universities to pursue a wide variety of degree courses. Our dedicated on-site UCAS specialist is on hand throughout students’ time at ‘The Canterbury Academy’ to offer advice on every step of the process. Students in the academic college will typically be aiming for university or professional careers.
Information, advice and guidance – especially with regard to applying to The Russell group will be available from senior staff from our partner Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys.

A-LEVEL SUBJECTS AVAILABLE
During your time in the Sixth Form you will folllow a programme of study consisting of your chosen subjects and the possibility of some work experience, an experience of enterprise and preparation for progression to university, employment and/or mentoring.
We attempt to be as flexible as possible to meet the requirements of each individual.

OPTIONS & APPLICATION
The unique aspect of the Sixth Form's provision is the flexibility it offers. The timetable allows students to mix different types of courses, different levels of qualifications, improve maths and English and study at a variety of different times.
